Drawn from ancient Mayan teachings for womb health combined with heart-centric ceremony to honor and exercise the wisdom of both hearts.

I have been honored to aid in fertility enhancement and pregnancy, quell severe menstrual imbalances, warm the throes of menopause and help pre and post natal uterine alignment with ancient Mayan techniques of womb care.  A Two-Hearted Soul workshop focuses on sharing knowledge of care for the core self and realign the physical and spiritual aspects of womanhood.

Mayan Abdominal Massage works with a woman’s anatomy to develop a life-long understanding of the reproductive organs and manipulation techniques for each stage of a woman’s development. It draws from ancient Mayan wisdom that has been passed down from Mayan elders and midwives. It was Dr. Rosita Arvigo who melded them with western medicine training to deliver this work to the world beyond Belize (rositaarvigo.com). Manual manipulation of the uterus (or womb space if the uterus has been removed) and the upper abdominal (digestive) region work towards bringing the core of the recipient into homeostasis; balance.  The work also utilizes the medicinal quality of plants: specific combinations of live and dry plants support a balanced reproductive system.

Equally important is an understanding of how the physical works with, or against, our emotional/spiritual self. Utilizing yoga, vocal toning, movement, guided meditation and grounded mindfulness we find balance. When a woman finds her physical center she is balanced and centered spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.  Aligning the womb within the body allows a clear channel for energy flow throughout the woman’s body and brings levity and clarity to her connection to her roots and wings.  Oftentimes women describe the aftertones of this work as “lighter”, “in my body” and “connected”.

The exchange that occurs during a Two-Hearted Soul retreat/session vibrates on the spiritual plane from the first moment and continues throughout the experience and beyond. The sweetness of sharing sacred space with other women and communing in sisterhood is why this work drew me in from the beginning.
